A new spinoff from the Professor Layton series is on the way to handheld platforms, Level-5 announced during its Vision 2013 conference. Layton 7, which is described as a role-playing game, is in development for iOS, Android and 3DS.Layton 7 stars several inhabitants of a small town and - according to screens shared by Famitsu - features a top-down isometric viewpoint. It's the second game in the series to arrive on iOS, as Layton Brothers: Mystery Room launched on the platform in June.
