It's a little girl versus the world later this year in Walking Dead Season 2
The Walking Dead rise again soon, after Telltale Games confirmed the second season of its graphic adventure is due on PC, Mac, iOS, and "home consoles" later this year. A new teaser name-checks the PS3 and Xbox 360, but Telltale said additional platforms are to be announced at a later date; the dev previously said the second season is coming to Ouya.
Spolier Central: Those of us who guided a certain lady to the end of season one won't just be reunited with the cherubic heroine. Clem's story will continue with us playing as her for the first time, with the young child apparently left to her lonesome following the dramatic conclusion to the first season. We'd say she looks, ooh, around 400 Days older.
If you skipped that bit, open your eyes again (or however that works). So, the second season consists of five episodes once more, with the final episode due some time next year. A season pass for the PC and Mac versions is up for pre-order on Steam and Telltale's store as of today, granting access to all five episodes at a 10 percent discount of $22.50. Our rudimentary grasp of maths tells us that each episode is priced $5 regularly.
And if this really is your first stumble upon The Walking Dead game, we heartily advise you go back and check out the first season. Telltale's adaptation of Robert Kirkman's comic book series took third place in our Top Ten of 2012 vote, its gut-wrenchingly tough decisions breaking our hearts sweetly, oh so sweetly.

Machinarium creator's Samorost 3 debuts in 2015
As with prior entries in the series, Samorost 3 is a dream-like adventure game that mates an intriguingly quaint aesthetic with characters and locations that are simultaneously mundane and bizarrely alien.
Specific dates are still up in the air, but Amanita plans to release Samorost 3 on PC, Mac, iOS and Android platforms at some point during 2015.Machinarium creator's Samorost 3 debuts in 2015 originally appeared on Joystiq on Tue, 29 Oct 2013 19:30:00 EST. Please see our terms for use of feeds.

Double Dragon Trilogy brings classic arcade brawling to iOS, Android
Retrogaming emulation specialist DotEmu revealed that it will bring the classic arcade beat-'em-ups Double Dragon, Double Dragon 2: The Revenge, and Double Dragon 3: The Rosetta Stone to iOS and Android devices in the upcoming mobile compilation Double Dragon Trilogy.
The package will include faithful ports of all three games in their original quarter-munching glory, along with a new "Story" mode that awards bonus unlockables and achievements as players progress through the trilogy. A new mobile-specific difficult mode tones down the brutality for players who struggle with touchscreen controls, while Original and Expert difficulty modes are also available for series veterans.
Other bonus features include gamepad support, optional remixed soundtracks, and Bluetooth co-op play. Double Dragon Trilogy is set to launch via the iTunes App Store and Google Play by the end of the year.

Walking Dead GOTY Edition official, over 21 million episodes sold
The official word comes as part of today's Season 2 reveal, as does a new sales tidbit: Telltale's graphic adventure series is now past the 21 million mark for individual episode sales. The new figure likely includes the 400 Days episode, given the series was at 17 million-plus back in June when it was revealed. In any case, what really matters is that a whole lot of people saw a whole lot of other people get eaten.

Lighter Oculus Rift headset coming to Android
"We have some exciting plans on the mobile VR side as the PC VR side," Iribe said, as transcribed by Gamesbeat. "We're really looking at hitting the consumer market. We're very excited about what we're seeing. Skeptical about how good mobile VR could be on such a small platform. It's pretty incredible what [John Carmack has] been able to do."
John Carmack, who signed on as Chief Technology Officer for Oculus in August, said the retail headset will likely run on an Android processor. In an interview with Engadget earlier this month, Carmack envisioned "a head-mounted display that probably runs Android, as a standalone system, that has a system-on-a-chip that's basically like what you have in mobile phones." Oculus has yet to announce when the Rift will officially launch, though some developers have had the development kit headset since March.
Oculus began as a Kickstarter campaign late last year and managed to earn over $2 million through crowdfunding. The company completed its first round of investor funding in June, securing $16 million.Lighter Oculus Rift headset coming to Android originally appeared on Joystiq on Tue, 29 Oct 2013 22:30:00 EST. Nvidia Shield update adds Console Mode, improved PC streaming
Most notably, the update enables the Shield's "Console Mode," which allows players to link a Bluetooth controller to the Shield to play games on the nearest television, much like traditional gaming machines. Nvidia would obviously prefer you use the official Shield controller to play games in Console Mode, but given the ubiquity of Bluetooth it should now be possible to connect a wide range of controllers to the Shield (including Sony's DualShock 3).
Alongside Console Mode, Nvidia also improved Android support in the Shield. "Hundreds" of Android games are now playable on Nvidia's machine, and the company even went to the trouble of designing a utility dubbed "Gamepad Mapper" which allows for use of traditional controllers in Android games originally designed for a touchscreen interface.
Streaming games from a PC to the Shield has also been improved, with "50 of the best PC games" now supported. To further tempt users, Nvidia has also unveiled a promotion in which those who purchase "select GeForce GTX graphics cards" alongside a Shield will receive a $100 discount on the computer/console hybrid as well as free PC copies of Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag, Batman: Arkham Origins and Splinter Cell: Blacklist.
Full details on this promotion and this morning's update are available on the Shield website.Nvidia Shield update adds Console Mode, improved PC streaming originally appeared on Joystiq on Mon, 28 Oct 2013 14:30:00 EST. Please see our terms for use of feeds.

GTA5 iFruit app brings dogsitting, car customization to Android
As with its iOS incarnation, the Android version of iFruit is a free download. For that nonexistent price of entry, players are given access to an expanded, electronic version of the Grand Theft Auto 5 manual, direct links to the Rockstar Social Club, and two "games." The first is a simple series of menus designed for lightweight car customization. The second allows players to directly interact with their in-game dog by feeding him, playing fetch and engaging in one of three simple minigames. Once you've linked your Rockstar Social Club account to the iFruit app, any vehicle changes you make or new tricks you teach your dog will be carried over into the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 versions of Grand Theft Auto V.
Downloading the iFruit app is as simple as visiting the Google Play store and tapping the "install" button.

5 Ways to Get Her Naked Faster
We hit up Nick Savoy of LoveSystems for their best tips to getting her to take it off, now.
1. Get Naked Yourself
“Whipping it out can encourage her to do the same and can heighten her curiosity and sexual tension. Unlike going for her pants, getting undressed yourself isn't something she's used to automatically objecting to, so there's less chance of her breaking the mood,” says Savoy.
2. Make it Warm – or Cold
“If it's warm, she'll be more likely to be willing to shed clothes. If it's cold, she'll be more likely to curl up under a blanket next to you. Either of those will lead to her being naked sooner.”
Five Long-Distance Sex Tips>>>
3. Be Bold
“No woman gets naked with a man because she's turned on by how 'respectful' he is. If you are attracted to her, she'll know – whether you say anything or not. Women are rarely attracted to a man who wants her, but doesn't make a move. So you may as well show her you have the confidence to make something happen.”
4. Get Physical
“She's more likely to get naked after a workout, a hike, or a day at the beach. Plan something hot and sweaty and then offer to let her shower at your place. Just make sure your bathroom is clean and you have nice towels!”
15 Things She Wants You to Do For Her in Bed>>>
5. Be the Man
“Many women like to feel like they're being seduced. Of course she knows what's going on, but it's a nice feeling for a lot of women for the man to make things happen, smoothly, in a 'it just happened' kind of way. So have an excuse when you invite her home, don't spend 5 minutes looking for a condom or trying to unhook her bra. One mistake a lot of guys make is starting to fool around on the couch and then moving her to the bedroom. That's a potentially awkward moment. If you start on the couch, finish on the couch."

Ouya retail presence expands to all Target locations
The Android microconsole's retail packaging has been spruced up to take advantage of its new-found exposure, Uhrman said. Target will push the device in its winter circular, through video adverts in its electronics departments and with special displays starting in December, though the Ouya's expanded availability goes into effect this month. Demo units are planned for early next year - Uhrman called production of the kiosks "incredibly expensive," a fact compounded by the necessity to design a wired controller for the system.
In related news, Ouya is also in the process of negotiating availability at Wal-mart. Bit.Trip Run devs consult demonic bird for advice
Bit.Trip Run launched a little early (Commander Video is really fast, you guys) in New Zealand, and a few people were able to pull the game info before it was taken down: The game features three worlds, 30 normal levels, 12 Challenge levels, 15 Retro levels and three boss battles. There are eight playable characters with 40 unlockable costumes, and a free update "coming soon" almost doubles the number of levels, worlds and goodies.
Bit.Trip Run is the mobile version of Bit.Trip Presents Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien - obviously, this title could be unnecessarily confusing for players browsing the App Store, so developer Gaijin Games kept it short and sweet. The controls are simple, too, featuring swipes and taps, Gaijin tells Polygon.
"In the end, implementing and testing out several different control schemes is what led us to our current swipe-based controls," Associate Producer Dant Rambo said. "It also doesn't hurt that we have friends in mobile development to provide pointers and suggestions. I mean, we also made a deal with a demonic bird who said it would help us create the perfect control scheme if we gave it our souls, but I doubt that played a major role."Bit.Trip Run devs consult demonic bird for advice originally appeared on Joystiq on Thu, 24 Oct 2013 13:00:00 EST. Freshen up your Android with Plants vs. Zombies 2, out now
The war between the botanical and the reanimated corporeal spreads onto Android, where players can do their part by enlisting on Google Play. As our chums at Engadget note, the Android port is "virtually identical" to the iOS version released in August.
EA-owned PopCap implemented a free-to-play model in Plants vs. Zombies 2: It's About Time, and within weeks the game was approaching 25 million downloads on the App Store. The developer's keeping quiet about any remaining ports; it's worth remembering the original Plants. vs. Zombies was gobbled up by practically every platform, including Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, and Nintendo DS.Freshen up your Android with Plants vs. Zombies 2, out now originally appeared on Joystiq on Thu, 24 Oct 2013 10:30:00 EST. Halo co-creator's mobile FPS now called 'Midnight Star'
Industrial Toys has been pitching Midnight Star as an innovative shooter for mobile platforms; AAA on iOS. Harris tells me over Skype what this means for the game's controls: Tap one finger to shoot, two to bring up a shield and other common gestures for specific weapons, such as pinch to zoom in a sniper rifle.
The game is technically on rails, but it offers players the ability to control the camera. Two hexagons on either side of the screen light up with the number of enemies surrounding the battlefield, and the indicators change colors as foes prepare to attack. Players can tap the hexagons to swing the camera that way and take care of business.
The aiming reticle is positioned above the player's finger so it's always obvious where it's pointing, and the enemy AI system is dynamic, "not unlike Halo," Harris says. Enemies respond to a player's actions, ducking for cover when a sniper zooms in on them, staying back in one playthrough and charging forward for a melee attack in another.
